Design systems

I build modular and scalable design systems with comprehensive guidelines and documentation for designers and software engineers that ensure product consistency.

Animations

I make animations and UI interactions using Rive, Spline, Endless Tools, Figma, Framer, Three.js and Cavalry that are ready for implementation, saving software engineers' time.

Prototyping

I create high-fidelity prototypes that feel like real products and conduct deep user interviews and custdev sessions, allowing actionable feedback loops.

Accessibility compliance

I help interfaces to comply with European Accessibility Act and WCAG standards. As an A11Y adept, I always test my work for color contrast, typography and alt texts.

Hiring & mentoring

I've conducted 800+ designer interviews and optimized hiring pipelines by creating guidelines and recording video tips for recruiters and HRs. I've mentored 13 designers.

Code monkeying

I know JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML and CSS. I use git, create and review PRs, bridging the gap between designers and software engineers. My Cursor agents are assisting me.

Hiiro↗, Co-founder & Lead Product Designer

Industry: sport & wellness

I co-founded Hiiro↗, an AI-powered running coach built for athletes who want adaptive training for their first marathon. From zero to shipped product, I lead the product vision, UX strategy, and brand direction.

I designed and launched iOS and watchOS app, crafting a seamless coaching loop that bridges sports science and behavioral psychology. My role spans product strategy and positioning, end-to-end UX across onboarding, retention, workout flows, as well as brand identity and motion language. I work closely with AI engineers and coaches to shape training logic, and conduct interviews with running clubs, athletes, event organizers, and sports doctors to ground product decisions in real-world insight.

2022 — 2025

TomTom↗, Principal Product Designer

Industry: GIS, mapping and navigation

At TomTom, a global leader in navigation and mapping technology, I played a key role in shaping MapMaker↗, a cloud-based map styling platform that enables companies to create brand-aligned, customizable maps. I led UX for modular styling, POI customization, and real-time cloud sync, turning a historically complex GIS system into an intuitive creative tool.

I was also instrumental in launching TomTom Orbis↗, a next-generation map data platform integrating 3D mapping, lane-level precision, and advanced road geometry.

In parallel, I contributed to in-car navigation modules, refining interaction models for infotainment systems where clarity, latency, and safety are critical. My work focused on simplifying high-complexity tooling, contributing to platform-level products, and designing for high-stakes, real-time automotive environments.

2021 — 2022

Diagnocat↗, Senior Product Designer

Industry: Medtech

At Diagnocat, I designed AI-powered diagnostic tools used by dentists and radiologists to analyze 2D and 3D dental imaging. I led UX for orthodontic and endodontic modules that surfaced detected pathologies and supported treatment planning, balancing medical precision with usability to create interfaces doctors could trust under time pressure.

Through extensive user research, including interviews with clinicians and engineers and observing live patient treatments, I developed a deep understanding of clinical workflows. These insights informed interaction patterns that reduced cognitive load and improved interpretability.

2014 — 2021

Semrush↗, Design Team Lead

Industry: SEO, digital marketing and advertising

At Semrush, I grew from designer to Design Team Lead, guiding a team of 13 UI/UX designers across a large SaaS ecosystem.

I spearheaded the creation of the Intergalactic Design System↗, a scalable UI component library adopted across multiple products and featured in design system repositories, ensuring consistency, accessibility compliance, and faster product iteration.

Over the years, I contributed to approximately 10 product tools, influencing product strategy, leading major redesigns, and driving a cohesive visual evolution across the platform. My tenure reflects long-term product thinking, design system leadership, strong cross-functional influence at scale, and a focus on building and mentoring high-performing teams.
